cheese in space!
...yellowwedge cheese, that is, in cyberspace at last! The Apollo missions probably took less planning
but we're delighted at last to be launching the first phase of the yellowwedge cheese online shopping
experience. We're starting out with a small selection to which we'll keep adding as the voyage
continues.
Whilst we look forward to welcoming friends old and new from around the world-wide-web, please note that deliveries via the online shop are initially UK mainland only so if you're looking further afield please email or call to see what we can arrange.
But for now, the online launch-bay doors are open - to take a trip to the shop please come this way...
yellowwedge cheese - the movie!
It was only a matter of time before someone was sufficiently beguiled by the charms of our cheeses to want to point a movie camera at them (we always knew they were stars!) and local film-maker Hiti Panahy has directed, filmed and edited just such a piece.
Hiti's short film starring some of our favourite cheese — oh, and David — is a great introduction for anyone who's yet to visit us in person. And if you're using our new online ordering service it gives you a chance to see the human face of yellowwedge cheese.
You can see more of Hiti's work here and she's keen to hear from other local businesses who might be interested in promotional videos.
Back at yellowwedge cheese HQ we're sitting by the phone waiting for a call from the producers of 'Strictly Come Cheese-Mongering' - fingers crossed!

We do like to get about a bit, but on 19th October 2010 over twenty guests from seven countries
attended our farthest flung cheese tasting event to date - at the Foreign Correspondents Club in
Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Thanks are due to our kind hosts from riverorchid and to Soreny Tep (better known as Any) and her
team at the FCC for their help in making the evening such a success.
And the star turn cheeses...?
Little Wallop and Shorrock's Lancashire Bomb (which altogether made up for the anxiety of travelling 7,000 miles with three of those in the suitcase!).
So, now we're getting the hang of taking the show round the world, do feel free to invite yellowwedge cheese to your continent! Details on the contact page.
yet another accolade!
verjuice / verjus
From Maggie Beer - one of Australia's best known culinary icons. A respected mentor to many, her fame has been built on a career that spans farming, food production, food writing and television presenting. Maggie was the first in the world to produce Verjuice commercially.
Verjuice has no alcohol or added sugar so is suitable for children, the elderly, convalescents and pregnant women.
Gourmet chefs are realising the versatility of cooking with Verjuice, and it's now enjoying a worldwide revival. Verjuice will soon become an indispensable ingredient in any kitchen, and foodies around the globe are already excited about it!
VERJUICE
A juice of unfermented early season grapes - use to deglaze a pan when cooking chicken or fish and adds flavourful complexity to dressings, syrups, sauces, marinades, casseroles and gravies.
750ml bottle £11.40
375ml bottle £7.50
SANGIOVESE VERJUICE
Slightly sweeter version of the classic. Versatile and elegantly balanced, it adds zest to desserts, dressings, cheese, meat and poultry dishes. Swirl over pancakes, ice cream, blend with mustard, garlic & olive oil for an amazing dressing... or baste over chicken or fish for a great taste sensation. Superb also in a Gin & Tonic!
375ml bottle £7.50

you buy. Do ask, we'll always try to make your selection memorable!
